Terms and Conditions of the SunLife Big Cash Draw to win £10,000 every month

  1. The “SunLife Big Cash Draw” (the “Draw”) is a series of monthly draws that will run for at least 12 months with the first Draw taking place on the 28th January 2018. The Draw is free to enter for all SunLife Guaranteed Over 50 policyholders who are resident in England, Scotland and Wales. Residents of Northern Ireland cannot enter the Draw.
  2. There will be one prize per month comprising of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds sterling) (the "Prize"), available to be won per calendar month, by an eligible SunLife Guaranteed Over 50 policyholder (the “Policyholder”) (see paragraph 3 below for eligibility).
  3. To enter the Draw a participant (“you”) must have a SunLife Guaranteed Over 50 policy (the “Policy”). Entry to the Draw will not affect any of the conditions of the Policy.
  4. To be entered into the Draw, you must have registered your details with SunLife. You can register during your application for a Policy, or after you have purchased a Policy via the Sunlife website, sunlife.co.uk/win. You are responsible for ensuring your details are correct when registering for the Draw.
  5. By registering to enter the Draw you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to these terms and conditions.
  6. You will be entered into the Draw at the end of the calendar month, providing the Promoter has received your registration by the 28th of the same month with the closing date for registration for the first Draw being the 28th January 2018. You will remain eligible for each Draw unless you cancel your Policy or opt out (see paragraph 8).
  7. The Draw is only open to residents of England, Scotland & Wales who are Policyholders, it is not available to Policyholders who are residents of Northern Ireland. Also excluded from entering the Draw are employees of any companies within the Phoenix Group of companies or their associates, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents, appointed representatives or anyone connected with or involved in the administration of the Draw.
  8. You may opt out of the Draw at any time by visiting sunlife.co.uk/win. The Promoter must receive notification by the 28th of the current calendar month in order for you to be excluded from that month’s Draw and future Draws. If you cancel your Policy, you will automatically be removed from the Draw. If you take a new Policy at a later date, and meet all of the requirements in paragraphs 1-4, you will be eligible to re-enter the Draw. Entry to the Draw will not be automatic and you will need to re-register your details as set out in paragraph 3 above.
  9. Entries that do not comply in full with these terms and conditions will be void or refused. The Promoter does not accept any liability for any communications lost, damaged or delayed in transit.
  10. Entry is limited to one per person, per calendar month.
  11. Entries for each monthly Draw will be made up of all live Policyholders who have registered for the Draw as of the 28th of the month (the “Close Date”). Each eligible Policyholder will be allocated a different random number for each monthly Draw. An independent party (without knowledge of the manner in which the numbers have been allocated) will choose the winner by randomly selecting a number between one and the total number of entrants received at the Close Date. The winner will be drawn within ten working days of the Close Date for each month (the “Draw Date”).
  12. Each month the winner will be notified by phone (the “Notification Call”) within 7 days of each Draw Date and will be required to confirm further details to the Promoter before the Prize can be released. Where the Promoter cannot make contact with the winner via phone, the Promoter will notify the winner by post with a letter (the "Notification Letter").
  13. Payment of the Prize will be made by cheque within 28 days of the winner contacting the Promoter.
  14. The Prize is not transferable.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to vary the delivery method of the Prize if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.
  16. If the winner does not respond to the Promoter within 30 days of being notified by the Promoter then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any part of it) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.
  18. The Promoter may stop operating the free prize draw at any time after the first 12 draws. Notice of this will be placed on the SunLife website at sunlife.co.uk/win. The Promoter may also change these terms and conditions or the features of the Draw – such as the amounts and number of prizes, the policies a customer must hold to qualify for the Draw and the frequency of the Draws. Notice of these changes will be placed on the SunLife website.
  19. Details of the name and county of each winner can be obtained by writing to SunLife, Prize Draw Winner, PO Box 3325, Bristol, BS1 9LU.
  20. The Promoter will announce each winner by displaying their names on the SunLife website. If you do not wish for your name to be displayed in this way, please let the Promoter know during the Notification Call.
  21. The Promoter's decision shall be final and legally binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.
  22. By entering the Draw, you agree that the Promoter will not be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever suffered or sustained in connection with this Draw (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, income or goodwill),and the use of any Prize or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the Promoter or its affiliates, save for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  23. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  24. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions, whether of a contractual or non-contractual nature, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
