  • Terms and Conditions for the SunLife Price Match

    The SunLife Price Match allows you to compare the cost of the cover we offer with our Guaranteed Over 50 product with our direct competitors.

    If you find a competitor with a similar product who is offering you the same level of cover for a lower price, or a higher level of cover for your money than SunLife, we will match the competitor subject to the conditions below. Just give us a call and provide confirmation of the competitor’s cover by email or in the post.


    1. This Price Match is only available on SunLife’s whole of life Guaranteed Over 50 Plan
    2. The competitor product must be available only to UK residents and be a guaranteed whole of life product for those over 50, with no questions on lifestyle or medical history
    3. The competitor’s quotation must be based on its standard rates and terms for a new customer
    4. The Price Match is only offered on telephone applications for SunLife’s whole of life Guaranteed Over 50 Plan made on or after 11.5.2017
    5. You must tell us that you want to price match before you take out your SunLife whole of life Guaranteed Over 50 Plan (“your plan”)
    6. You will then have 7 days to provide us with evidence of the competitor quotation. You must include your full name and your address including postcode when providing your evidence
    7. The evidence must be an original, photocopy, screen print, scan or photograph of the competitor quote that includes the name of the competitor, your age/date of birth, the amount of cover, the monthly premium and the name of the product. We cannot return the evidence
    8. You can send your evidence:
    9. If the evidence you have provided meets the terms and conditions of the Price Match offer we will set your plan up to match the competitor
    10. If we do not receive evidence within 7 days, we will set your plan up on the basis we quoted originally to you on the telephone
    11. If the evidence you have provided does not meet the terms and conditions of the Price Match offer we will write to you explaining the reason and will set your plan up on the basis we quoted originally to you on the telephone
    12. The Price Match does not include the SunLife Premium Cap Option, premiums are payable for life
    13. SunLife must be able to verify the amount of cover and premium from the competitor for the equivalent age available to a new customer of that competitor
    14. SunLife will only match the competitor’s amount of cover that is payable on death excluding any additional accidental death benefit. No other product features will be matched
    15. SunLife will not match a competitor who offers different premiums or amount of cover for the same product dependent on smoking status
    16. The offer is subject to a maximum amount of cover of £25,000 across all guaranteed insurance products that SunLife offer
    17. The Price Match is subject to a maximum monthly premium of £74
    18. The Price Match cannot be used with any other SunLife offer
    19. The Price Match is not transferable
    20. The Price Match will close on 23.6.2017. However SunLife retain the right to withdraw this offer at any time and without prior warning
    21. SunLife reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time
    22. These terms and conditions and the Price Match are governed by the laws of England and Wales
    23. The Price Match is offered by AXA Wealth Services Limited trading as SunLife
    24. This offer will not affect your right to cancel your Plan. Please see your policy documents

If you choose to add Funeral Benefit Option to your Guaranteed Over 50 Plan the funeral services are arranged and provided by Dignity Funerals Limited. Dignity Funerals Limited is a company registered in England and Wales No. 00041598. Who provides the Funeral Plans?

The funeral services are arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd. Golden Charter Ltd are not required to be authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or the Prudential Regulation Authority in relation to funeral plans but are registered providers with the Funeral Planning Authority.

If you choose to pay for your funeral in one go, with a single payment, you will have a contract with Golden Charter. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.

If you choose to pay for your funeral with a life insurance policy, the policy will be provided by AXA Wealth Ltd, trading as SunLife. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.

Who provides My Smarter (ISA)?

My Smarter (ISA) is provided by Scottish Friendly Asset Managers Limited. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Who provides the Will writing services?
