Support for your welcome gift

If you have applied for the Guaranteed Over 50 Plan, Family Life Insurance, Funeral Plan or My Smarter (ISA), you may be eligible for a welcome gift.

If you are eligible for a welcome gift and you have applied for Family Life Insurance, Funeral Plan and My Smarter (ISA), we will send you your gift around one month from the day you make your first payment. For the Guaranteed Over 50 Plan, we will send you your welcome gift around one month from the day you pay your third premium.

If you applied for the Funeral Plan (regular payment) or Family Life Insurance, because the first month's premium is free, this may be up to two months into your policy.

If you applied for the Guaranteed Over 50 Plan, because the first month's premium is free, this may be up to four months into your policy.

If your welcome gift has not arrived, please get in touch with one of our friendly customer service agents who will investigate this for you.

Please be aware, you are entitled to one gift only issued from SunLife. We reserve the right to change or withdraw this gift entitlement, or limit the total number of gifts issued per customer. We also reserve the right to not issue a gift to any customer who has previously held a SunLife policy and has subsequently cancelled that policy.

Who provides the Funeral Plans?

The funeral services are arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd. Golden Charter Ltd are not required to be authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or the Prudential Regulation Authority in relation to funeral plans but are registered providers with the Funeral Planning Authority.

If you choose to pay for your funeral in one go, with a single payment, you will have a contract with Golden Charter. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.

If you choose to pay for your funeral with a life insurance policy, the policy will be provided by Phoenix Life Limited, trading as SunLife. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.

Who provides My Smarter (ISA)?

My Smarter (ISA) is provided by Scottish Friendly Asset Managers Limited. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
