Terms and conditions
If you’re between 50 and 80, you can choose to stop paying your premiums after a set number of years, based on your age when taking out the plan.
You pay a higher premium each month for this option, but you’ll have the reassurance of knowing exactly when you’ll stop paying and you'll still be covered for life.
The length of time you pay is based on your age when you take out the plan, so if you’re 50 when you arrange a plan, your fixed monthly premium would need to be paid for 26 years. If you’re 60, you’ll need to pay for 19 years – until you’re 79. When you choose Premium Cap Option, you’ll be told how many years you’ll pay your premiums for and the commitment you need to make.
Of course, whenever you die, so long as it's after the first two years, your premiums will stop and the full cash sum would be paid out.
Making a claim is a simple, reliable process. Our staff will do everything they can to make claims go as smoothly as possible. When the time comes, all your loved ones will need to do is simply call us or write to us and we will help them with the rest.

Who provides the Funeral Plans?
The funeral services are arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd. Golden Charter Ltd are not required to be authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or the Prudential Regulation Authority in relation to funeral plans but are registered providers with the Funeral Planning Authority.
If you choose to pay for your funeral in one go, with a single payment, you will have a contract with Golden Charter. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.
If you choose to pay for your funeral with a life insurance policy, the policy will be provided by AXA Wealth Ltd, trading as SunLife. The funeral services will be arranged by a funeral director selected by Golden Charter Ltd.
Who provides My Smarter (ISA)?
My Smarter (ISA) is provided by Scottish Friendly Asset Managers Limited. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
